Media Mail

It happened again.

And by "it" I mean someone sent me a book, two this time, a taste of my own doughy, yeast-raised medicine.

With pre-highlighted passages!

Dee from California was nice enough to mail me a couple of books he snatched up at a sale last week: Jonathan Franzen's The Corrections, and The Lessons of History by Will and Ariel Durant.

Thanks, Dee!

  1. I loved The Corrections! If you like it, definitely check out Franzen's Freedom from last year. Very good stuff!

  2. Sorry about the highlights, but in retaliation you called me a girl so I guess we are even... I'll chalk it up as you practicing some default anti-sexist/gender equality pronouns.

  3. Ha! I totally thought you were a girl. Sorry about that. The only people I know named Dee are all women. I will now assume you are the ghost of Dee Dee Ramone.

And I actually like the highlighting. I think it adds some flair to the book. Obviously whoever had this book was using it to write some kind of scholarly paper, and I think that is awesome.
